“Currently about three-quarters of the people showing interest are from Sydney and the rest are from Canberra,” Mr Fredericks said.

Mr Fredericks said that the property market in Canberra has turned off interest buyers from bidding.

“We had a couple interested from interstate but with the auction results in Canberra, they didn’t want to come all the way to Canberra to then be disappointed”.

“There is also a lot of potential with the home”, said Mr Fredericks.

“It is really well presented – you can move in and don’t have to do anything to it.”

According to Zango data, the property last sold in 2016 for $612,000. Giralang's current median property price is $743,000.
