Once considered the outer suburbs of Canberra back in 1949 this is now known as a hot location for inner city living. No longer is the milk and bread delivered by horse drawn cart to the servery cupboard at the rear of the house which still exists, or fruit and veges offered kerbside. This property has been called home since 1949 for only one family and is up for sale for the first time since it's construction.

Like other houses of this era, the home includes a wood fuel stove which still exists to this day. It also still maintains original door handles, light fittings and switches creating an authentic step-back-in time experience.

The family enjoy fond memories of growing up in MacLeay Street, with its wide nature strip providing the perfect pitch for neighbourhood cricket and rugby games. They also spent many hours at Sullivans Creek and the Pine Break in Haigh Park which are just around the corner. They enjoyed picking tree-ripened fruit in Summer and Autumn from their yard where an apple tree still remains today.

The fondest memories of 48 MacLeay Street was having so much space and the freedom to explore inner Canberra with their friends and the fact that the home provided the perfect venue for many enjoyable family gatherings and social occasions.
