The inside of this little three-beddy in Calwell is very, very unexpected

Canberra’s not all glamorous O’Malley mansions and studio apartments in Braddon you know.

Take this humble little property on Phillipson Street in Calwell. From the outside, it ‘s pure late 1980s Tuggeranong (I swear every home in Theodore and Richardson looks like this too) but the inside is modern and super sweet. You could even run your beauty business from here.

Here are the things I’m loving about this Calwell cutie.

Talk about moving straight in with nothing to do! The rose gold highlights are gorgeous and that durable faux-wooden floor is heaven for those who have toddlers (like me). I love that four people can sit at the island bench for breakfast (or four friends for mimosas when mum hosts a girl’s night).

Check out the nook in one of the bedrooms for a beauty bed — and the lighting has been set up for waxing, facials and eyelash extending.

It’s obvious from this photo that the bathroom is super compact (is that image taken from inside the shower?) but it still offers a separate bath and shower, and just needs loads of greenery to balance out the industrial-looking tiles.

The super sweet nursery is ready to go.

If you’re expecting or you already have a baby, this home has a room for your little one ready to go. The wallpaper detail is beautiful and the room has a ceiling fan to keep bub cool in the summer months. It's a room that would easily transition to a toddler and kids' bedroom.

Space for the kids and fur babies.

This yard is not too big and not too small. Also, I love that you can sit up high on the deck and watch the little ones playing. I would need to add a spa to that deck I think.
