This architect-designed home is an oasis in the heart of the Yass Valley.

Raine and Horne Southern Highlands principal Matthew Anstee says 752 Kaveneys Road, also known as Bottega, is a 150-acre slice of tranquillity.

“The owners worked with a local architect and tried to model the house around a resort-style oasis,” he says.

“They have three children and grandchildren, so they wanted a home where they could come and be comfortable while still being in a rural property.”

On arrival at Bottega, you’ll drive through the tree-lined driveway and arrive at the two-story glass entryway.

“To have a home of this size that feels like a home is hard to achieve, but the owners have done this very well.”

The home has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The master bedroom includes an ensuite with a spa and walk-in wardrobe.

While the home is already eye-catching, Matthew says the views are one of the property’s other wow factors.

“The house sits on the middle of the block and is positioned to maximise the views,” he says.

“There are those breathtaking views looking down over the Yass Valley and down to the Snowy Mountains.”

Matthew says Bottega would suit those looking for a family home and a community where they can put roots down.

“It’s certainly going to be purchased by someone who’s looking to have that mix of a quality build and a rural lifestyle,” he says.

“Most rural properties and farms are simply not like this – they don’t offer the features this property offers.”

The 150 acres can run 40 breeders, and all paddocks have concrete aprons and water troughs.

For comfort, the home is double-glazed and the suspended slab conserves heat. A backup generator and solar panels mean the home is off-grid.
