The Secret Life of Pets: Zango office edition

Behind every Zango staff member is an adored - and very cheeky - pet or three. Here, we introduce you to the fur babies behind our brand. (We considered getting them all in for a group shot but ... well ... there's enough happy chaos as it is!)

Lana Hurley, Account Manager, with Red

Teddy bears, dolls, squishmallows - there isn't a soft toy Red isn't obsessed with.

"He loves stealing them out of the kids' rooms and showing them off when he's excited to see us," Lana says.

Red, a red heeler cross, was adopted by the Hurley family from the Yass animal shelter in 2023, and has had a whole lot of love ever since.

Diana McKinlay, Junior Developer, with Mycroft, Helios and Gideon

Mycroft3

"Mycroft was a very proper kitty who loved to nap in sunbeams or on stolen chairs," Diana says of her black-and-white cat Mycroft, whom she sadly lost a couple of months ago. "He was very particular about his tux coat, loved his little dinosaur toy and destroying tennis balls. He was not the brightest spark but he was very loving and very loved in return."

"Helios (our ginger cat) and Gideon (the tabby) are brothers who are professional nappers when they aren't re-enacting Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon fight scenes. They are very funny kittens who love to explore. Gideon has a little spring toy that's his favourite while Helios is more interested in a kitchen sponge or whatever toy Gideon is currently trying to play with but in general they are best buddies."

Lily Platt, Social Media Manager and Graphic Designer, with Ripley

The Platt family

"We got Ripley as our COVID pup and can't imagine life without him," Lily says of her four-year-old Beaglier Ripley.

"He loves to rip toilet paper rolls and cardboard - or just about anything left on the floor.

"Ripley was the surprise ring bearer at our wedding and entered to Who Let the Dogs Out by the Baha Men, because of course he had to be part of the wedding."

General Manager Karen Ligdopoulos's puppy, Archie

"Meet Archie, our five-year-old King Charles Cavalier.

"My son Michael brought him home five years ago from a breeder in Sydney at six weeks old. He loooves to snuggle and he loves roast chicken but you have you pronounce it like this: Chickeeeeeeeen.

"He will not go outside in the rain to get wet (such a princess) but if he hears the neighbours dog bark will get covered in mud to bark back - he's a bit special. If you say 'Let’s go for a walk!' he will literally cry and tug at his leash and lead until you do.

"We love coming home to his very waggy tail every afternoon. It’s so sweet."
