"The Grange" is an established prune, packing and processing orchard that has been operating since 1926. The business has four entities:
1. Prune Products Pty Ltd - sales and marketing business responsible for promotion, contract negotiations, cash handling and warehouse distribution. The business services the catering and food service industries such as health, aged care, hotel/motel and cruise ships.
2. Just Prunes Brand - Prune Pulp - This product has a national distribution, major customers include nursing homes, hospitals and manufacturing industries. Both business are respected by national buyers in the hospitality and food service markets.
3. J C Granger & Sons - This business is located within the orchard known as "The Grange" on a separate freehold title. Includes sole packer and supplier of Gourmet Farms and Just Prunes branded prunes, prune juice and prune pulp sales by Prune Products Pty Ltd plus contract packing of products for other suppliers and prunes for two organic producers.
4. "The Grange" freehold orchard, land & improvements consisting of 28 hectares in total with approximately 15 hectares of prune trees under 30 years old. Complete with trickle irrigation from two equipped irrigation dams and an equipped bore. Perennial creek flows through the property and town water is also connected.
The vendors are retiring, the business is for sale as a whole or as individual enterprises.
