Woden Valley Australian Capital Territory
The Woden town centre is currently undergoing a massive transformation, with a range of new developments and revitalised spaces springing up. Westfield Woden has recently added the Bradley Street dining precinct, a fresh new outdoor strip of restaurants, a bar and other casual eateries. Away from the town centre, Woden Valley is also brimming with quirky suburban cafes that do a seriously good feed and just as good coffee. The area has every kind of sporting facility, including Phillip Swimming and Ice Skating Centre which is home to Canberra’s ice hockey team, the CBR Brave, and easy access to beautiful parks and reserves including Mount Taylor and Oakley Hill Reserve. State of the art healthcare is always close by thanks to Canberra’s main hospital in Garran, and plenty of public transport from the Woden Bus Interchange means the area is well-connected to the rest of town. Whilst boasting some of Canberra’s most sought-after suburbs such as O’Malley, Garran and Pearce, you can also find some more affordable fixer-uppers, or brand new builds in suburbs such as Chifley and Torrens. And apartment living is on the rise, with a whole raft of new high-density developments in the Woden town centre offering a more urban lifestyle.
