Bombala New South Wales
In the Southern Tablelands of NSW, perfectly placed halfway between Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney, sits the tiny town of Bombala. The area is a favourite stop over for tourists travelling between states and territories for the holidays, or to the snow fields in the winter which are less than 2 hours’ drive away. Horse riding, mountain biking and bushwalking are popular activities for locals and visitors, and the main street of Bombala has lots of great cafes and restaurants with menus featuring fresh local produce. Surrounded by national parks, Bombala is also known as “platypus country” and offers a unique chance to see this very shy mammal in its natural habitat at the Bombala Platypus Reserve.
