Three absolute gun agents to watch in 2022

While she describes her three years in real estate as “turbulent”, 34-year-old Bianca feels like she’s landed smack bang in the industry she was destined for. She’s worked on more than 100 sales as an associate, and will hit 50 sales as lead agent this year.

Weren’t you a celebrant before joining the industry?

Yes! I was a celebrant for seven years which is such an incredibly rewarding and heart-centred space to work in, and there are a lot of correlations between that and selling people’s homes. Connecting with people on an authentic and genuine level to help support them through a sale is massively rewarding for me.

Did you want to be a real estate agent when you grew up?

I’ve had a lifelong passion for property - as a kid I used to sit around drawing floor plans. Every time I’ve travelled, I’ve spent hours looking at local real estate. I love that you just never know what’s behind someone’s front door, and now I get to develop an amazing strategy to help bring homes to the market.

Which suburbs do you specialise in?

I live in Weston Creek and specialise in suburbs here and surrounding Mount Taylor.

Do you need to be creative to be a real estate agent?

Absolutely. Every home and client is so different, every sale needs a unique strategy. I find I thrive on even the more stressful components and don’t shy away from a challenge, in fact, I probably gravitate to it! I also love how every day is so different, and full of great conversations with people.

An aspring developer, 26-year-old Antony was named the LJ Hooker ACT Residential Sales Person of the Year for 2021. He started out at LJ Hooker Gungahlin before joining the city team in 2020.

Is property about 'bricks and mortar' or people?

Property is, always has been and always will be about people. Houses sell themselves, providing an unforgettable experience for your buyers and sellers is the most important thing you can do in any transaction.

What’s the method behind your success?

The fact that I love this job more than anything and don’t feel like I’m ever really working enables me to push myself and do more than most. I’m truly blessed to have found a career that can provide me so much happiness and get paid to do what I love while challenging myself day in and day out. I find great satisfaction in helping people achieve their real estate goals and being around a team of wonderfully like-minded people to help hold me accountable to my goals and aspirations is amazing.

What are you doing when you're not selling houses?

I only get one day off a week so my family tend to get all my attention. A typical day off consists of pancakes for breakfast, then a walk up Mount Ainslie or around the lake with my dog, Frank. I’ll then visit my family/grandparents and head out for dinner - I’m a massive foodie. So basically just food and family - the two most important things in life..

Tahlia Davidson, One Agency Sandy Morris

When it comes to Tuggeranong expertise - and especially Isabella Plains - Tahlia’s among the best. She joined the industry at just 21 and is loving working in property and raising a family. She’s mum to a toddler and bought “a real doer-upper” in early 2021 that takes up most of her time after hours.

How do you stay on your A-Game every day?

As an agent, you’re entrusted to facilitate one of the largest financial and emotional transactions in someone's life. This is my motivating factor in providing exceptional service, and constantly refining and improving my skills.

What are your favourite moments during the day?

I love working with people, and empowering my clients to achieve their real estate goals. I’m passionate about identifying and relaying the idiosyncrasies in each property that make it a joy to live in. I love hearing from my vendors about their favourite sun-lit reading spaces, the Christmases they’ve hosted on the rear deck, or simple improvements that make the home conducive to everyday living.

What does the future look like?

With my family and support system based in Canberra, I’m bound here in a physical sense. My vision is to create an inspired and striking real estate brand that redefines the agent/consumer relationship.
