The final collection of apartments in Belconnen’s resort-style Cirrus development has been released, with residents expected to move into their luxury waterview pads in August.
And with the waterfront complex nearing completion, expressions of interest are now being sought for five commercial spaces that open up onto Emu Bank.
Per Se Developments managing director Anthony Tokich said the two Cirrus towers will change the face of Belconnen and is set to revitalise the popular precinct overlooking Lake Ginninderra.
“Everyone loves the design,” he said, “and not just those in Belconnen, but Canberra in general.”
“It’s going to be a very vibrant new precinct in a great location, with Westfield shopping centre right next door.”
Mr Tokich said about 90 per cent of apartments have been sold, including the penthouses, and only a handful of one and two-bedroom apartments remain.
“The homes have been really popular with middle-aged and young professionals, with the penthouses snapped up by downsizers,” he said.
“There’s a fantastic mix of owners from Canberra and a few from Sydney, and they’re all excited to be getting closer to moving in.”
He said Cirrus marks a new chapter for elevated design in Belconnen, with all of the apartments facing north, taking in commanding views over the lake.
“The apartments are generous in size and have been designed for owner-occupiers, with larger kitchens and living spaces.”
With the addition of cafes and restaurants in the commercial space, Mr Tokich says Cirrus residents will have everything at their fingertips.
“On a Friday night, you can walk next door to Westfield and watch a movie, grab a quick snack from the food precinct or duck into Kmart or the supermarket,” he added.
“In terms of the convenience factor, you can’t get much better than this.”
At 24 storeys, Cirrus is one of the tallest buildings in Belconnen, composed of an arresting verticality that is offset by an elegant shell of precast concrete panels with a subtle, velvety finish.
Inspired by resort amenities, each apartment has been meticulously crafted, offering open plan living with crisp white kitchens, timber grained joinery and stainless steel Smeg appliances.
The living areas open onto generous balconies taking in breathtaking views day and night.
Expansive bedrooms with floor-to-ceiling windows also take in the waterfront views, with some boasting an extensive balcony, while the bathrooms are furbished in soft, elegant surfaces that are evocative of spa decor.
Residents can enjoy a shared pool and gym floor that connects the two towers and on-site parking.
Mr Tokich said the final premium apartments are available for purchase now and will be ready to occupy in time to enjoy springtime by the lake.
