Meet a Zango agent: Stephen Thompson from LJ Hooker Manuka

It was straight out of high school when Stephen Thompson first got into real estate. Now three decades on, he has stamped his name as one of Canberra’s most established agents.

Since founding LJ Hooker Manuka, he has guided and nurtured the agency through dramatic growth. The team is now recognised as one of LJ Hooker's top auction offices in Australia and has received several industry accolades over the years.

A fourth-generation Canberran, Stephen’s passionate about his hometown. He has extensive local knowledge and understanding of Canberra's residential real estate market, particularly the suburbs of the inner south.

“I love the inner south because it’s got the vibe, it’s got history, plus the trees and streetscapes. It’s not only a wonderful place to live, it’s the best place in Australia to live,” says Stephen.

Probably somewhere in the inner south - Manuka, Kingston, or somewhere in that area.

Best summer Canberra location?

I think that the best place to go in summer in Canberra is the national parks, whether it be down at Tidbinbilla, or the Cotter or Namadgi - they’re just a great place to hang out.
