Matching your pyjamas to your cushions is a thing, says this Canberra homewares label

​​What if you could design your very own signature print — not only for the huge pile of cushions on your lounge but also for lounging in bed in?

Would you choose floral, stripes or tiny triangles? It's emerald leopard for me.

Canberra brand Luxe & Beau has been selling stunning homewares online for more than seven years; but with its new bricks and mortar store in Fyshwick, it’s helping clients match their interiors to their peejays.

Luxe & Beau is the vision of Canberra’s Georgie Beaumont, who comes from a long line of women obsessed with beautiful things. With the opening of the Fyshwick Luxe and Beau showroom, Canberrans can access an appointment-only service to work with Georgie on designing a signature print.

“Luxe & Beau is a lifestyle brand that includes designer accessories for a home and its owner,” Georgie says.

“Our brand is all about quality and timelessness with a modern flair, or what I like to call ‘classic with a contemporary edge’.

“Unlike fast fashion, each collection at Luxe & Beau is beautifully made in classic designs and fabrics that will have longevity in your home.

“Colour and pattern are a trademark of my designs. I create products that you could add to a beautiful white space, for example, to give an individual look. Products that can completely change or personalise a space, without needing to totally overhaul your interiors.”

A former student of the London of College of Fashion, Georgie launched Luxe & Beau online in 2015. Her passion for interiors and homewares is three generational, with both her grandmother and mother owning interior and homewares businesses.

Mum Sally-ann Cottle’s store, Cottle House, was well known in Cooma for providing stylish homewares, furniture, curtains and more. Georgie was hands-on at Cottle House from an early age, and by 15 was accompanying her mum to tradeshows.

Georgie lists the beautiful country homestead she grew up in in the Snowy Mountains – which had a garden surrounded by flowers and magnificent trees – as a huge inspiration for her print designs.

“Our showroom is a place where our clients can come and see our products beautifully displayed, where they can touch and feel them and be inspired to create their own beautiful space,” Georgie says.

“Fyshwick is also the perfect location as it’s in the heart of Canberra’s furnishing precinct.”

The Luxe & Beau showroom is located at 8A/56 Wollongong Street, Fyshwick.
