<p data-block-key="pmwrt">Every Googonian I know absolutely loves living there - so much so I&#x27;m considering making the move myself.</p><p data-block-key="f0fdk">I asked one particular Googonian I know well (my sister) what she loves most about the little piece of Queanbeyan close to the dam (they are still in the 2620 postcode after all) and here&#x27;s what she said.</p><h3 data-block-key="2orsb">The amazing community events (that thousands of Canberrans tend to turn up to).</h3><img alt="IMG_0469" class="richtext-image full-width" height="452" src="https://d2t3vhau9g43uy.cloudfront.net/media/images/IMG_0469.width-800.jpg" width="678"><p data-block-key="opad">Speak to anyone who lives in Googong and they’ll tell you that awesome events that are happening all the time. Goo Gala, Googfest, Boogong and many more events attract visitors from right around the region.</p><p data-block-key="4ievl">Googong&#x27;s a close-knit community of almost 6500 residents and they&#x27;re partial to meeting up at a local venue. The Googong Dam Foreshore (not quite as fancy as Kingston Foreshore) is located just a few moments from North Googong and ideal for sightseeing, fishing, bushwalking, picnicking, canoeing and sailing.</p><p data-block-key="eving">London Bridge Arch is a stunning natural Limestone Bridge, formed by thousands of years of water flowing along Burra Creek and leaking through cracks in the limestone, located south of Burra Road. A scenic 3.4km, two-hour circuit walk takes you from the London Bridge woolshed and shearers quarters, across London Bridge Arch and along Burra Creek to the homestead.</p><p data-block-key="dl2jj">If you have a puppy, you have two dog parks to choose from and the option to join the Facebook group called &quot;Dogonians&quot;. Queanbeyan itself has a strong small town community vibe and hosts a range of free events throughout the year.
